
Kaylin Melia George is an award-winning writer, director, and creative executive whose work spans books, film, and media.

George has spearheaded acclaimed documentaries, national commercials, and lifestyle content for streaming. As a Resident Director at Media RED and then the VP of Development at Mythify Studios, she led projects that premiered at the United Nations, raised millions for nonprofits, and teamed with EGOT-winning talent. She is an inaugural member of the Native Hawaiian Storytelling Program, where she develops and champions Hawaiian writing.
George's debut picture book, Aloha Everything, broke sales records upon its release before being picked up for global distribution. It went on to win some of the highest honors in children’s literature, including the Asian/Pacific American Award for Literature, making George the first Native Hawaiian recipient in the award’s history. The title was voted favorite Hawaiian book of the year by thousands of students in the state of HawaiÊ»i for the Ä€nuenue HawaiÊ»i Keiki Book Award, and it was recently shelved at the Library of Congress as a piece of national heritage. Further distinctions from: the New York Public Library, the Center for the Study of Multicultural Literature, the Association for Library Services to Children, Notable Books for a Global Society, Kirkus, Youth Services, and many more.
Today, Kaylin appears for speaking events, book signings, film festivals, tv & podcasts, and author tours all around the nation, including the National Book Festival, Publisher's Weekly, the American Librarians Association Conference, the Hawaiʻi International Conference on Education, the AAPI Joy Festival, the Festival of AAPI Books, the Children's Book Podcast, the LA Kids Book Festival, and others.
